I like the take I took on my motion graphics, I like my illustrations as they give a different quirky look to it and makes it eye catching. I like how the grove logo moves the bowling pin out of the way so it becomes more fluid and the black background really makes my white text stand out. I made my work using after effects, I think it was a good decision to use after effects as it has a similar interface to photoshop and other adobe software allowing me to pick it up easily. Mainly i used sliding effect as ones where my opacity changed these effect helped me change from different frames easily and made it flow also i used the scale effect allowing my images to heave depth of field other my other image.
What I dislike about my work is that, the images could of been more detailed but i think the message i got across is good and that was my main focus.
The research i have done helped me make a solid idea for my work i learned the history of Dunstable and this helped me to decide on using the roman jug statue as it was about our towns heritage and when people will see it in my work they are sure to recognise it. I also used an image of the doors of the priory church as i have learnt that the church has been here for a long while and dates back to Henry the 8th times. Our questionnaire helped me focus on the main parts where people were less informed about places of interest in Dunstable, from this i could illustrate drawings and add them into my work to make them aware of interesting things they may otherwise miss.
The artists i looked and inspired me to use a black background to help my images stand out also helped me decide on the movement and colours i was going to use for example David Wilsons arctic monkeys where he makes his colours stand out against a black background. David Pocull helped me determine that i wanted one of my images to bounce or roll of my screen from this i made the grove logo move and act as a bowling ball.
I had trouble deciding the font i wanted to use i over come this by doing some research. I decided that i didn't want to use any of the fonts that were already on the mac. To overcome this i looked at some free fonts, I found a font that was big and bold so there wouldn't be trouble reading it from any age of person. this worked well and gave more of an impact to my work.
If i was to do this again i would allow myself more time so I would be able to do my first idea which i did not have time to do. Overall I am pleased with my work i just think if i had more time my images would be more detailed however the simplicity makes my work fit to the whole target audience.

screenshots of my final
Here i choose to have my text coming in from different sides of my screen, this creates a visually stimulating image, i didn't have it coming in too fast as i wanted it to start slow with the song making more of an effect when the music starts. This has also taken into consideration the various levels of good/bad eyesight my target audience will have.using a black background with white text makes my text stand out much like how David Wilson made the white line stand out on his arctic monkeys video.

For my next slide I used illustrated images portraying thing in dunstable like drinking and eating I used rotation for the coffee beans making it stand out and not leaving it to stand there motionless as i didn't want it to loose its place amongst my other images, The effect i used on the beer gives it an artistic look thus making it stand out. The transition's work well not moving too fast but also giving it enough time to let my music run fluently throughout.
For this I had a quick transition of the image appearing bigger then sizing down with the jug illustration passing underneath. This suited the music well and gives it a brief history and a quirky style thats different from my other frames. The illustrations give depth and stand out amongst the black background making them stand out and meaning there eye catching.
For this i added thing to do in dunstable, i had lost of things fading in and out but at separate times, refreshing it's self if you like. this means there is always something good to look at and sublimely creating the thought of lost of thing to do in dunstable. The effect of the grove logo knocking over the bowling ping add good movement and allows the next slide to move along fluently.
Layout sheets
This was my first idea, it was to have a ball of string unravelling into words, i thought this might be too complicated and I wouldn't meet the deadline, i was to have more time I might of gone with this idea.
This is my first slide, last slide and second slide for my final i changed from logos to illustration as it suites my designers of influence more also as i didn't want to neglect other company around dunstable.
These are the middle frames for my piece involving illustration and directions this helped me set out my graphic easier as i knew exactly what i was doing. i made some subtle changes like not using the dw logo, i used the grove logo as there is no competition for them in dunstable so i could promote it directly.
This was my strongest idea, the idea was to attach a camera to a moving vehicle or skate board and have a trip round dunstable highlighting the places of interest however i could not get the resources in time and risked the danger off falling to far behind.

Typeface idea development, as i wasn't too keen on the type face that were offered to me on the mac, I overcome this issue by looking at the website creative blog and gathering different fonts from there, I decided to used Langdon as it was bold, not to flashy and very easy to read from a distance.

public enemy- harder than you think
I choose this song as I saw it in a piece of motion graphics at the end of a song. The fanfare is upbeat and has a happy sound to it. As the song is quite an iconic song people will recognise the song and think of the video when they hear it also if they hear the song while the video plays it may make them look at the video because of the song.
