evaluation

I like the take I took on my motion graphics,  I like my illustrations as they give a different quirky look to it and makes it eye catching. I like how the grove logo moves the bowling pin out of the way so it becomes more fluid and the black background really makes my white text stand out. I made my work using after effects, I think it was a good decision to use after effects as it has a similar interface to photoshop and other adobe software allowing me to pick it up easily. Mainly i used sliding effect as ones where my opacity changed these effect helped me change from different frames easily and made it flow also i used the scale effect allowing my images to heave depth of field other my other image.
What I dislike about my work is that, the images could of been more detailed but i think the message i got across is good and that was my main focus.

The research i have done helped me make a solid idea for my work i learned the history of Dunstable and this helped me to decide on using the roman jug statue as it was about our towns heritage and when people will see it in my work they are sure to recognise it. I also used an image of the doors of the priory church as i have learnt that the church has been here for a long while and dates back to Henry the 8th times. Our questionnaire helped me focus on the main parts where people were less informed about places of interest in  Dunstable, from this i could illustrate drawings and add them into my work to make them aware of interesting things they may otherwise miss.

The artists i looked and inspired me to use a black background to help my images stand out also helped me decide on the movement and colours i was going to use for example David Wilsons arctic monkeys where he makes his colours stand out against a black background. David Pocull helped me determine that i wanted one of my images to bounce or roll of my screen from this i made the grove logo move and act as a bowling ball.

I had trouble deciding the font i wanted to use i over come this by doing some research. I decided that i didn't want to use any of the fonts that were already on the mac. To overcome this i looked at some free fonts, I found a font that was big and bold so there wouldn't be trouble reading it from any age of person. this worked well and gave more of an impact to my work.

If i was to do this again i would allow myself more time so I would be able to do my first idea which i did not have time to do. Overall I am pleased with my work i just think if i had more time my images would be more detailed however the simplicity makes my work fit to the whole target audience.
