The LAH! Restaurant in Madrid, designed by Ilimio design.
The look is funky and relaxing with a lot of space and places for groups. With the cut out wooden dividers, this gives it a more private feel to the open plan restaurant.
The hanging lights, metal chairs and booths covered in strips of fabric give it an off hinged and modern look.
I think this idea for the refectory would work well, as the restaurant kind of look like a modern cafeteria. Setting out seating like they have done in LAH! Would give it more of a private and mature ambiance. Perhaps college students from the creative industries department could create the fabric strips to give the refectory a personal feel.
