I thought this sign might be good to manipulate as I could
make the red stand out and use a grey scale for the background much like the
work of Brownjohn.
I saw this and thought I take a picture because of the style
of text and the colour, I don’t think I will use this as part of my calendar as
it may be hard to manipulate.
I liked this as the type is small and kerned close together.
As it is hand written in bold marker it stands out against the back background
making it more eye catching.
I took this from an angel to get the full effect of the marks and old stickers on the sign, again this in in a san-serif text. I like all the texture on this image giving it a lot of different things to stimulate the eyes
I decided to focus on The Bedfordshire text as we were
creating a calendar about the Bedfordshire/Dunstable area. I like the text it
looks a bit like the impact typeface. I think this image would work better if
there were less dirt over the text.
This
is a bold font, again it is sans-serif, I took this from a distance as I wanted
to see the different shapes of the roof and it might make it a better image to
look at.
The type face in this image I san-serif, I decided to take this
image as the imagery is very street like also I think the colours would stand
out if edited in the style of brownjohn.
I took this image from a lower angle so you could see the
raised san-serif type.the dark background also reminds me of Robert BrownJhon.
I thought this would be a pretty cool image to take as it's an old rundown nightclub also the text is a lot different from the other images I took.
I like this image as I think the yellow light has a nice effect, making the image look dingy. I think this image would be good to manipulate.
I choose to take this image as i really likes the type face, again a san-serif type face. The stencil like style is bold and makes it stand out also i like how the surface adds texture to this image.
I took this as I was interested by the mix of s san-serif font and what I think is a script font. As this image was graffiti I thought I would take the image.
Like my other image i thought i take it from below to show the raised text, I also thought it might look better if i stepped back and caught more of the grey sky in the background, a little bit like BrownJohns work.
I thought in this image i could make the colours stand out and manipulate it well i took this from a lower angle so it would include the under part of the décor.
